More About This Title My Name Is Hardly

English

A beautiful girl is missing, and may or may not want to be found, a soldier on his last and most dangerous mission, and a vow made to a dying friend. Northern Ireland, in 1996, is one of the most dangerous places in the world. The government called it a state of unrest, the people who lived through it called it the time of "The Troubles".
Gerald "Hardly" McDougall is a forgotten man. He's abused, bullied, and left behind. The only escape left is to join the British Army. At first, he's a reluctant soldier. Everything changes when tensions in Northern Ireland escalate and the Army need a man with a particular set of characteristics. Hardly's re-assigned and sent into the heart of the troubles, living in the same houses as the IRA soldiers he's fighting against.
MY NAME IS HARDLY takes the reader on a twenty year journey through Hardly's life--from the beginning, when he leaves Scotland and joins the Army, to the tragic final days when he embarks on a search to find the only woman who can answer his questions.
Follow-up to the #1 Amazon Bestseller-MY TEMPORARY LIFE.
Please note-although this is book two of a trilogy, it is a stand-alone novel, and it's not necessary to read the first book in the series in order to enjoy MY NAME IS HARDLY.

In a press release, Amazon called Martin Crosbie one of their success stories of 2012. His self-publishing journey has been chronicled in Publisher's Weekly, Forbes Online, and Canada's Globe and Mail newspaper. Martin's debut novel, MY TEMPORARY LIFE, has been downloaded over one hundred and fifty thousand times and became an Amazon top ten overall bestseller.
MY NAME IS HARDLY, his second book, was written following reader requests to hear more about Hardly, the beloved character from MY TEMPORARY LIFE.
Martin was born in the Highlands of Scotland and currently makes his home in Vancouver, on the west coast of Canada.

I really love the way Martin Crosbie writes. "My Name is Hardly" has everything a reader wants, action, romance, laughs, lots of emotion and interesting surprises. As is the case with "My Temporary Life", Martin's first book, I purchased both the paper back and e-book versions. "My Name is Hardly" is a must read that you won't be able to put down. I can't wait for number three of Crosbie's trilogy.
Amazon Review.
This is the best piece of fiction writing I've read this year. Though it is the second book of a trilogy, I read it as a stand-alone novel and it worked just fine. Now I'm eager to read book one. Book three is not yet published. Take your time, Mr. Crosbie. Don't sacrifice your writing nor story for speed. We'll wait.
