More About This Title An Interactive Clinical Scenario Illustrating Aspects of Basic Immunology

English

Presenting an interactive clinical scenario, this CD-ROM challenges students to apply basic immunology to a case of serious infectious illness in a small child. Equivalent to a one-hour workshop, the session shows Katy, three years old, who has been ill for several hours. She is photophobic, has a headache, and is crying inconsolably. Students respond to questions about the symptoms to reach a diagnosis and can review the infection-fighting systems of the body with self-assessment questions.
