David C. Barksdale is the state-appointed Floyd County Historian and president of the Floyd County Historical Society. He has written and co-authored several hundred house and building histories, along with several books. David was a public-school educator for thirty-six years and helped initiate the Annual New Albany Historic Home Tour.
Gregory A. Sekula is director of the Southern Regional Office of Indiana Landmarks. He holds a degree in historic preservation from Roger Williams University and is a past Fellow of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. A member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, Gregory previously served as Preservation Planner for St. Joseph, Missouri and City Planner for New Bern, North Carolina.
