CASTI is a Professor at the Institute for Econometrics, Operations Research, and System Theory at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria, and a Researcher at the Santa Fe Institute, Santa Fe, New Mexico. He is the author or editor of over ten books, including Linear Dynamical Systems, Searching for Certainty: What Scientists Can Know About the Future, Paradigms Lost: Tackling the Unsolved Mysteries of Modern Science, and Alternate Realities.
