Kathleen Schmidt Prezbindowski, Ph.D., M.S.N., is a professor of biology at the College of Mount St. Joseph, where she was recently named Distinguished Teacher of the Year. She has taught anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, and biology of aging for 35 years. Dr. Prezbindowski's Ph.D. is in biology, and she has earned M.S.N.s in both Gerontological and Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Through a grant from the U.S. Administration on Aging, she produced the first video series on the human body ever designed especially for older people. She is also the author of four other learning guides and a wellness manual for older adults.
