About the Editor FRANK S. LISELLA, Ph.D., M.P.H., is Director of the Environmental Health and Safety Office of the School of Medicine at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. Formerly, he was Director of the Office of Biosafety for the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta, Where he Worked for over 20 years. He has Received the U.S. Public Health Service Outstanding Service Award and numerous other honors, and is the author of over 40 technical articles. Dr. Lisella has also been a consultant to the World Health Organization. He earned his Ph.D. in Preventive Medicine and Environmental Health from the University of Lowa, his M.P.H. in Environmental Health and Epidemiology from Tulane University, and his bachelor’s degree from Millersville University.
