KAI CHANG is the E-Systems Endowed Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at Texas A&M University, where he teaches and performs research in microwave devices and circuits. Previously, Dr. Chang was a section head at TRW, Inc., where he was responsible for millimeter-wave integrated circuit and subsystem development. Prior to this, he was a supervisor at Hughes Aircraft Company, where he was involved in the development of microwave and millimeter-wave circuits, oscillators, and power combiners. He has contributed chapters to a number of books and has published over 250 technical papers on microwave circuits, components, antennas, and subsystems. Dr. Chang received the Special Achievement Award from TRW, the Halliburton Research Excellence Award, the Distinguished Teaching Award, and the Distinguished Research Award from Texas A&M University. Dr. Chang was the editor of the four-volume Handbook of Microwave and Optical Components, and serves as the editor of the Microwave and Optical Technology Letters and the Wiley Series in Microwave and Optical Engineering. He is also the author of Microwave Solid-State Circuits and Applications. He is a Fellow of the IEEE.
