MARC J. ACKERMAN, PhD, is a licensed psychologist in the state of Wisconsin, who has been involved in more than one thousand family law cases throughout the United States. He is also the author of the Ackerman-Schoendorf Scale for Parent Evaluation of Custody, or ASPECT. He served as Director of Clinical Training at the Wisconsin School of Professional Psychology from 1981 to 1989, and is now a full professor with that school. He is also co-director of North Shore Psychotherapy Associates, a private practice clinic in Milwaukee. Dr. Ackerman is President of the Wisconsin Psychological Association, is a past president of the Milwaukee Area Psychological Association, and was a member of the Board of Governors of the Society of Clinical and Consulting Psychology from 1987 to 1991. His previous books include How to Examine Psychological Experts in Divorce and Other Civil Actions and Psychological Experts in Divorce, Personal Injury, and Other Civil Actions, Second Edition, both published by Wiley.
