Rosella Bernstein, B.S., Ohio State University, received a certificate to teach learning disabled children in the Trumbull County, Ohio, school system after taking undergraduate and graduate courses at Kent State University. She taught students with learning disabilities for 13 years from kindergarten through fifth grade and created the activities in SOUND OUT! because she could not find material to meet her students' particular instructional needs.
