Dale Jacquette is Senior Professorial Chair in Theoretical Philosophy at the University of Bern, Switzerland. His many previous works include Wittgenstein’s Thought in Transition (1998), Ontology (2002), David Hume’s Critique of Infinity (2001), and The Philosophy of Schopenhauer (2005). He has edited the BlackwellCompanion to Philosophical Logic (2002), the Cambridge Companion to Brentano (2004), and the Elsevier volume on Philosophy of Logic (2006) in the Handbook of the Philosophy of Science series.
