Joy Monice Malnar is Associate Professor of Fine Arts at Loyola University of Chicago, where she teaches courses in interior architecture and design. She holds a BFA in Interior Design from the Chicago Academy, as well as a MArch (Master of Architecture) from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is a member of the American Institute of Architects, the Interior Design Educator's Council, and an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers. Her professional work has included both contract and residential design at such firms as Sargent and Lundy, Whitaker Associates, and Skidmore, Owings, and Merrill.

Frank Vodvarka is Associate Professor of Fine Arts at Loyola University of Chicago, where he teaches graphic design, photography, and design theory. He holds a BA in Plastic & Graphic Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and an MFA in Graphics from the University of Chicago. His professional work has included graphic design, stage design, and architectural photography, and he is a member of the Interior Design Educator's Council and the Design Communication Association.
