Martine McDonagh is the author of two novels, I Have Waited, and You Have Come (Myriad Editions 2012) and After Phoenix (Ten to Ten 2013). Of her first novel, Red Magazine (UK) said: 'Its hard to believe this strong, confident writing comes from a debut author.' Her work has also been reviewed in the Guardian and widely online. Both novels were awarded Arts Council England funding. Martine has recently completed her third novel. Having worked for 30 years in the music industry as a successful artist manager, Martine is now developing a new MA Creative Writing and Publishing for West Dean College, UK and will be programme leader when the course opens in September 2015. Martine has published features in Writing magazine, and short fiction in various publications and has appeared at numerous literary events and readings in the UK and USA. She has also visited schools, colleges, libraries and reading groups to talk about her books and the writing process. Martine continues to travel widely having lived in USA, France and Switzerland and toured extensively with music clients. She speaks French to a fairly high standard and is edging closer to fluency...she also speaks basic German and a few sentences of Brazilian Portuguese. She can say hello and goodby and count to ten in Swiss German.
