Maryann "Mar." Harman is the founder of "Music with Mar." which has many facets. They include an international, brain based interactive music program for adults and children, instructional workshops,training of licensed instructors and production of music to support the programs. Her degrees in music and education help her to write songs that are musically and educationally sound. She has produced over 45 albums in her over 35 years experience teaching at all levels of learning. She has written songs for Dr. Becky Bailey's "I Love You Rituals", Kaplan's Learn Every Day Infant/Toddler Curriculum, and School Specialty. Her awards include two Parents' Choice Awards and a John Lennon Songwriter's Award.

Her travels and trainings have brought her to Beijing, India, South Africa, the Grand Cayman and various states around the US. Mar Harmon does a great job describing many ways to bring music activities and games to developing children. She also tells the reader why its important for their brains and social development. I am a music teacher for individuals with autism and often share her routines and concepts in my lessons. This book gives me countless more ideas to apply.
