Marie Konstantatou was born and raised in Athens, Greece.
She graduated from the Drama School of the Athens Conservatory and has enjoyed a successful career as an actress in cinema, theatre, television and radio.
Marie Konstantatou is the ambassador of UNICEF Greece for the E.U./UNICEF Program ''EMERGENCY LESSONS'' which supports education to children victims of a war,to children refugees and to those who are unable to live and study in their country.
Her love and dedication for children led her to write the successful best-selling book series ''Mike the Little Bean'' as well as several activity books.
Marie Konstantatou has written eleven funny ,adventurous, educational books ,which have been translated in English,Chinese and Serbian,as well as three plays (musicals)based on her books.
She is the only Greek author who was invited for a book signing at the International Book Festival in Miami.
From October 2018 till the end of 2019 ,the books will participate at the most important book fairs of the world :
At Frankfurt International Book Fair,the Guadalajara Book Fair,in London at the Book Fair,at Book Expo in New York City,and in Beijing at the International Book Fair

Marie is involved with children's charities and has launched several projects over the years to offer aid to those in need.
She created and hosted a daily television program called ''With Love'' which aired on Greek TV for more than ten years.
Through that show, she connected charitable organizations with anyone -individuals or teams -who was facing serious problems, allowing them to get help,and was constantly offering survival solutions.
Marie has been awarded with dozen of medals and honors for her humanitarian contributions and charitable work.
In 2008 , she was awarded with the Golden European Medal for volunteering at the European Parliament in Strasburg .
In 2011,Marie received the Gold Order for Humanitarianism from the International Austrian Humanitarian Association ''Albert Schweitzer'' in Wien.
She was honored with the Communication Award of the Volunteer Values by the Greek Ministry of Health and Social Solidarity.
The European Youth Council awarded her for her social contribution and volunteer initiative,as a model for young people.
In 2015,Marie Konstantatou was also awarded by the Hellenic Committee of Unicef for her significant contribution toward the protection of children's rights.
