One of the most popular museums in Amsterdam, the Anne Frank House, attracts over 1.2 million visitors a year. A museum you should definitely see when you are in Amsterdam (Holland). It was the hiding place during the Second World War of Anne Frank to escape deportation by the Nazis. Discover the secret annex behind the bookcase where Anne Frank, the 13-year-old Jewish girl and her family lived for 2 years, and where she wrote the now famous Anne Frank diaries.

˃˃˃ Get this short guide before you visit the cramped upstairs quarters in the canal house in Amsterdam.

You will read about the daily life in the Achterhuis, about the people hiding, the famous Anne Frank Tree, the betrayal and subsequent deportation. The guide also contains some practical information about how to avoid the queues in front of the Anne Frank House museum. Please note, it is not an extensive guide, but gives you all the basics you need to know.

A moving experience. If you read this brief guide prior to visiting the Anne Frank House, you will be well prepared for your visit.

After watching the movie "Freedom Writers" I became interested in Anne Frank's story - much more so than in high school, when I read "The Diary of Anne Frank." I am even more interested at this point, since I am planning a trip to Amsterdam. I downloaded this ebook to get a preview of the museum and was pleasantly surprised. [...] This short ebook packs in all the information a potential visitor needs to maximize a tour of museum. I highly recommend this as a resource, and even a memento for those who have already made the trip!

Kassenaar and Heenk have created a brilliant preparatory guide for a visit to the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam. I plan to visit and this is a great resource.

I have not had that visit yet but I am confident the tour will be far more complete and understandable now that I have the inside story. The story begins with a thorough look at the Frank family history and how they came to be virtual prisoners in their city.

An unusual feature in the Kindle version I read was the addition of family photos. Having Anne Frank's photo added another level of understanding to the story. The photo of actual pages of the Dairy itself was haunting.

If you appreciate the history of those days or if you plan a trip to The Netherlands, this is great way to fill in "the rest of the story".
