Walter de la Mare (1873-1956) was an English novelist, poet and short story writer. He is best remembered today as a writer for children, but was also the author of accomplished stories of supernatural and psychological horror. Greg Buzwell is Curator of Contemporary Literary Archives and Manuscripts at the British Library. He is the editor of The Face in the Glass and Other Gothic Tales by Mary Elizabeth Braddon, and The Tell-Tale Heart and Other Tales by Edgar Allan Poe.
