Walter de la Mare wrote some of the finest traditional ghost stories in the English language. This new collection presents some of the best-loved stories alongside others that have been undeservedly neglected. De la Mare is revealed as an enigmatic writer of troubling stories that take unexpected turns into the supernatural.
