The life in a quiet fiord in Iceland is about to change. A stunning newcomer: scientific centre is built opposite a quiet fisherman village. Dan Solberg, a Norwegian historian arrives late in the evening to commence work on the historical analysis of the place. His encounter with an enticing Iranian architect will make a mark on his life. Meanwhile the manager of the Centre, Henning Olsen, has problems of his own: he needs to join a scientific data base, but an old foe makes it almost impossible for him.

The author studied Construction management in Denmark for three and a half years, where she familiarized herself with the Scandinavian outlook and project management practices. Later, she continued her education in England, studying Urban Design which increased her understanding on the placemaking problematics. Currently, she is a PhD student in England, focusing on the architectural problems of high-rise buildings.
