More About This Title El zen

English

Aimed at readers seeking to learn about Zen and meditation, this exploratory guide about the Eastern philosophy seeks to explain the Western world’s fascination with Zen, as well as the reasons why this secular tradition has remained alive and well in Asian countries. Iconoclastic, irreverent, complex, as well as radically simple, Zen eludes classification and circumscription because one of its main arguments is that, in order to truly understand something, one has to experience it firsthand. The book includes a succinct bibliography, a brief chronology, and a useful glossary of terms for the uninitiated.
