About Brazilian Publishers

Created in 2008, Brazilian publishers is a project that encourages the internationalization of Brazilian publishing houses. It is a result of a partnership between the Brazilian book chamber (cbl) and the Brazilian trade and investment promotion agency (apex-brasil) . This initiative aims to promote the Brazilian publishing industry in the global market in an articulate and well-directed manner, contributing to the professionalization of the publishing houses.

In order to achieve this goal, Brazilian publishers fosters exports through promotional activities to improve the sales of publishing rights, including the Brazilian participation at international trade shows and events. The project organizes press trips and buyer trips to invite international professionals to visit Brazil. The project also contributes to the country’s image, showing the world Brazil’s capacity for creating technical, literary, and scientific content of great importance and quality for the international market. Brazilian publishers is currently comprised of more than 70 publishing houses, which operate in the areas of children’s books, general works, religious, technical-scientific, and academic expertise.
