The Yellow River Publishing & Media Group Co., Ltd is a state-owned cultural enterprise affiliated to People’s Government of Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, which is also a member company of China Publishing Group. Now the Yellow River Publishing & Media Group Co., Ltd has 14 publishing companies, 3 branches and more than 900 employees. We are mainly involved in the fields such as development and publication of books, digital publication media, textbook publication and market promotion, the integration of issuing transaction, copyright trade, investment and finance, employees training and so on.
Our group publishes more than one thousand sorts of books every year. The biggest affiliated publishing houses to the Yellow River Publishing & Media Group Co., Ltd is Ningxia People publishing house, which was established in 1958 and had published more than 10,000 excellent and distinctive books, including books about classical Chinese studies, Chinese traditional culture, national history, literature and art, science and technology and modern life. Ningxia is the only Hui Muslim province in China, with the help of the special advantage of territory and national culture, the Yellow River Publishing & Media Group Co., Ltd puts its emphasis on developing and publishing books on historical culture, national art, folk life and folk art of Muslims in China. At present, it is also the publishing house which has the largest number of published books about Muslim culture in China and has enjoyed the great reputation at home and abroad. Now the group has brought the strategy of “Going out” into force, mainly pushing forward the published books into the book market of Arabian countries.
Right now there are 61 kinds of books planned in our list of Books Going Out, including books of Muslim history and culture, classical Chinese studies and books about the study on traditional culture and language. They are going to be translated into Arabian, Persian, and Turkish and so on. Till August we will have finished the translation of more than 10 kinds of books and meanwhile, we can continue on the work such as typesetting, printing and copyright trade. Therefore, we sincerely hope Publishing Houses in Arabian and other Islamic countries could cooperate with us and together we can put forward books into books markets in Arabian countries.
