The Adventures of Aha Jones book series is children's literature developed to improve literacy and inspire interest in science. The first book, "New School Blues," addresses the fear of changing to a new school and also sparks interest in historical figures. In this adventure, the central character, Aha Jones, is nervous about transitioning into a new charter school and discovers that his fears about his new teacher and of not being able to make friends are unfounded. Once Aha learns about astronaut Mae Jemison, he realizes that this new school may be just the place for an aspiring young astronaut.
