This book takes you through Amanda's tragedy in the loss of her loved ones and the adventure of her soul searching. The fact that she was brave enough to actually stay alone in a cabin in the mountains in the middle of nowhere was amazing in itself, but that she went out hiking through the mountains alone again and again after her first encounter with a wolf is truly amazing. I would have been outta there so fast! Each time she encounters a new danger, you have to wonder what she is trying to prove and hope that she has not completely lost her mind.
