Robert Brancatelli is a novelist and occasionally funny humorist working on the "Mercury Trilogy," featuring the main character, Richard Mercurius ("Merk"). The trilogy is made up of THE GRINGO (2011), LAURA FEDORA (2014), and MAYA MIA. He is also writing a collection of autobiographical short stories called NINE LIVES with titles such as "Angelina in a Casket," "Give Us Our Trespasses," and "Rocky the Friggin Squirrel."
Brancatelli teaches business ethics at Fordham University and is the founder of Fordham Road Collaborative (www.fordhamroad.net), dedicated to the advancement of personal and organizational mission in the tradition of Ignatian spirituality. He lives in New York City and ties his own bow ties (or unties them as the case may be).

"I could not put this down. The prose is fast paced, evocative of the sights, sounds, smells, and appearances of the sharply and hilariously drawn characters that people the world of Richard Mercurius. I found myself laughing out loud at the incisive wit of Robert Brancatelli. The "dreams" and "waking dreams" of Richard are both hilarious and somehow deeply poignant, layers upon layers of revelations of the psyche of this modern "everyman"....I loved getting lost in the wilds of Guatemala and Belize with Richard. I cannot recommend this book highly enough and look forward to the second installment in the trilogy. A great read that should not be passed by!"
