Jonathan "Bill" Bayley is a retired science teacher who spent 13 years in the profession. He has had a history of occasional bouts of depression since he was 22 years old. In addition to teach, Bayley worked 35 years as volunteer in youth clubs and volunteered for three years in a mental health day centre 3 years. He manages a local writers’ monthly magazine, publishing more than 100 editions. In addition to writing, he is an amateur painter who has had 9 exhibitions and, sold over 1000 paintings.
