ABOUT THE AUTHOR

English

This is an excellent book on a rarely discussed subject. Nelly Kagoru has taken the courage to address the topic of accountability in full awareness that in a society like Kenya, accountability issues hang on the balance.
Kenya and Africa at large are, indeed, in dire need of a reorientation to accountability framework and Nelly has provided such a model in a practical and step by step manner. I particularly applaud her boldness in sharing her own life experience on struggles
she encountered with accountability and how she emerged victoriously. Given we always want to identify ourselves with people who have been through a struggle and come out a victor
and not a victim; you will find much encouragement in this book to help you in your own journey and in your accountability struggles.
Accountability issues are particularly well articulated in this book because they are also drawn from the author’s vast experience as a psychology practitioner, trainer, and counselor. It is also well-balanced theologically and practically. It engages both the mind and the heart in a simple, yet powerful way.
Nelly provides reflection questions to ponder on thus keeping the reader engaged. Reading this book and drawing the many lessons it is packed with will make you more accountable first and foremost to God, and then to others, and to yourself.
Bravo Nelly Kagoru!

Nelly Kagoru has taken a bold step to revive a culture that may be dying slowly and maybe soon obsolete with the millennials and the generations following them, if not confronted. It is said that in less than five years, going by the demographical trends, Millennials will comprise about 50% of the workforce and hence will be shaping our culture significantly.
The lack of accountability is a trend that needs to be reversed as the consequences for the lack of it, are dire. I pray that God will use this book to contribute towards reversing this trend
significantly.
God bless you and continue to use you greatly!
