Cynthia Gadson, born in Progress Village, which is in Tampa, Florida on March 24, 1963. The seventh child of ten children of her parents Mr. Edward Joseph Gadson and Mrs. Jessie Mae Gadson. Ms. Gadson has two sons, Marcus and Maurice Lindsey and four grandchildren, Sadari, Quinten, and Jamel from Marcus and Maubri Lindsey from Maurice. Maurice is the Illustrator of Ms. Gadson's five published books - MOM HAD A PROBLEM, DAD HAD ISSUES, SHOW ME! TEACH ME! GUIDE ME! Poetry through a Child's Perspective, BIG BULLY BOB, and A CALL FOR CHARACTER.

Ms. Gadson is a Missionary, called by God in 1990 to show, teach, and guide people to a better way of life. Ms. Gadson has had membership and or affiliations in Baptist, Church of God in Christ, and Non-Denominational churches throughout her years of living in her calling.

Ms. Gadson served in the United States Army in 1983 - 1988, earning an honorable discharge.

Ms. Gadson attended college at Hillsborough Community College for undergraduate courses, the University of South Florida, and Nova Southeastern for her Bachelor's and Master's degree in Special Education and certification in K-6 in Elementary Education, Walden University for her Specialist Degree in Curriculum, Instruction, and Professional Development and taken courses in the Doctorate Program at the University of West Florida Educational Leadership Program. Ms. Gadson is currently a teacher in the Hillsborough County Public Schools and has been teaching for nearly twenty-five years.

Ms. Gadson has written a collection of family-orientated and lesson-filled books to generate discussions and conversations on hot topics encountered by many on a day to day basis.
