He attended schools in Somerville, MA graduating from Somerville High School in 1953. He enlisted in the U.S. Army immediately after to avoid the Draft for the Korean conflict, and was discharged in 1956 after serving 3 years. Two of the years were spent in France. He attended Northeastern University in Boston MA for a brief period concentrating on accounting and job related computer courses. He relocated to Los Angeles CA in 1971. He credits his mother and father for instilling a good work ethic. On his last day at work, as an Information Technology Consultant at Southern California Edison, he was 76. During that 60 year period of employment there were very few gaps. He thanks his parents also for early involvement in religion. He was brought up as a Christian Scientist and later served in many of their churches in Boston area and California. He continues to read the Bible every day. He credits this for giving him a good moral compass and the day-to-day inspiration which he hopes shows in his writings. He currently has four books of poetry underway. He started writing poetry after the death of his first wife Virginia. He continues to write every day.
