Jesus Maria Gonzalez de Zorate is university professor of the History of Art in the University of the Basque Country. He is known as one of the most important Spanish contemporary art historians and is a great expert in iconography and iconology, proceeded from the studies of Santiago Sebastián pioneer of the iconographic studies in Spain. Actually he has a lot of works done about the most important artist of the west history of art, from Dürer's to Dalì, from the Renaissance to Goya's opera and so on.
