Explore the history of the Earth through geographical and paleontological hands-on activities. You will find step-by-step lesson plans for 14 hours of instruction, 15 learning centers with 27 multidisciplinary activities and experiments, and background information. Your students will investigate the forces that shape the Earth, discover fossil evidence and make fossils, mountains, and volcanoes, and examine the crystalline structure of rocks and start a rock collection


Edie Doherty and Louise Evans combine nearly forty years of teaching experience in the primary grades, at the intermediate level, in middle school, with gifted pullout programs, in Triad model resource room programs, and in graduate school. Together they developed the gifted program in South Windsor, Connecticut.
