The 50 greatest matches Scotland has ever played Since 1872, when Scotland hosted the first ever international football match, the national team has represented this proud nation across the globe, taking with it, in recent years, a hardy band of the most welcome supporters, the TartanArmy. In this book David Potter recalls famous victories over England, France, Germany, Holland, and Italy, not to forget the famous day Scottish fans invaded Wembley and left with the crossbar! Each match is reevaluated, its story retold, and its aftermath examined, while photographs plot the progress of the national side through 125 years of competition.
