More About This Title Origami


Regardless of what many people think, origami is not a simple pastime. It is, in fact, an extraordinary educational art form that allows for the development of diverse artistic and intellectual expressions. It is also an excellent tool for the development of fine motor skills in children; an effective meditation technique that allows us to attain emotional balance and inner peace; it encourages concentration, patience, and discipline; it increases creativity; and it stimulates the imagination.


Kazuko Maeshiro learned origami through family tradition. She currently she teaches courses and workshops at the Daiwa Center, the Japanese Garden, and in several schools.
