More About This Title Henry Moore Textiles

English

Widely hailed as a revelation and as a beautiful creation in its own right when first published in hardback, Henry Moore Textiles is now available in a handsome paperback edition to coincide with ongoing exhibitions of Moore's work. The book presents the 28 designs for textiles commissioned by the Czech refugee Zika Ascher from Moore during the last years of the Second World War and the early years of the 1950s. The images are newly photographed for this book and do justice to his abstract and popular patterns. Illustrations of subjects as diverse and random as safety pins or wavey landscapes pepper his accessible work: Henry Moore Textiles reveals an entirely new dimension to this well-known artist.
