More About This Title The Secret Dog

English

After the death of his mother, Josh goes to live with his uncle Calum, who has a farm on a remote island. Uprooted and lonely, 11-year-old Josh finds a tiny Border Collie pup left to drown in the river and decides to look after her and keep her as his own. But money is scarce; a dog that can’t earn its keep on the farm would not be welcomed by Calum, so Josh must raise his new friend, Reggae, in secret. Josh decides he will train her for the annual gathering of wild sheep. But can Reggae learn to be a proper sheep dog in under a year? All is going well until someone discovers Josh’s secret and will stop at nothing to ruin their chances.
