Jeanne Andersen is passionate about life and love, cherishing, remembering, and using every life experience as inspiration for creativity. That passion extends even to observing and analyzing her own pets, taking in their actions and reactions while making up rhymes and charming stories for her nieces, nephews, children, and yes, even her dogs, to delight in.

Laughter is an essential component in Jeanne’s life and often seeps its way into the stories that leak from her pen. At a young age, she would craft stories about the beauty of traveling and experiencing the world, and to this day, she manages to sneak in a few moments each night to create imaginative adventures.

Jeanne’s life is filled with characters that stir her creative muse and motivate her to sit down in front of a blank page and bring it to life.

Observing life around her and always taking in the little details, she is a natural-born writer, speaker and avid reader who enjoys spending time with her husband and children. Jeanne loves writing about traveling and hopes to one day spend more time on the road. She also aims to participate in more charity work, giving herself to those around her. But more than anything, she desires to live and love and consistently become a better person than she was the day before.

Jeanne grew up in Virginia and North Carolina, and now resides in Saint John’s, Florida, with her husband and children. Her first book is about to be published, and she continues to speak and write more books about the magnificence of human and animal nature. Jeanne truly believes that animals can teach us as much as we can teach them and her stories capture the essence of this beautiful bond between people and the animals that populate the earth. Based on her own experiences, her books are a charming combination of psychology and fascinating characters who are sure to win your heart one word at a time.

“Perfect reading for story time, this book will have young listeners giggling away at Louie’s zany adventures. Louie is simply adorable. His adventurous spirit shines through his expressive blue eyes and comical posturing in the illustrations. Toddlers, preschoolers, and other pre-readers will find something to identify with in his giggle-inducing antics, … The appealing main character and his zany activities invite discussion about connections with Louie’s activities and the plans and dreams that young people have for themselves.” – Clarion Review (Foreward Magazine, Inc.)

“The title and lively cover art of a dog performing kung fu, scuba diving and playing the piano are well chosen for Jeanne Andersen’s rhyming picture book about a dog called Louie who likes to try human activities. The activities are fun, and the rhymes that describe them display a strong sense of enthusiasm and occasionally entertaining word play. It’s Ignacio G’s illustrations that provide the book’s greatest strength. By picturing Louie in sunglasses, giving a thumbs-up, and performing a song with obvious aplomb, he turns Louie into one cool dog. …the high-spirited text paired with the animated illustrations should appeal to young children, who will enjoy “Super-Special” Louie.” – BlueInk Review

“This wonderfully illustrated debut introduces Louie, a clothes-wearing, kung fu–fighting canine in the tradition of Snoopy. Louie the Lhasa apso is a real pal to his human owner, and despite his furry exterior, he’s convinced he’s a human, too. G’s cartoonish illustrations are delightful, capturing the silliness of Louie’s activities without undermining the fun. …celebrate the gleefully absurd actions of the “kinda human” dog.
A silly collection of stanzas about a charming pup whose personality is ably captured in colorful pictures.” – Kirkus Reviews
