Kanou Akiko was born in Fukuoka, Kitakyushu, in October 19, 1966. Her blood type is A. She graduated from Bunkyo Women’s College, and was introduced to the Japanese literary circles through her short fiction novel series “A Seven-year-old Child”. After then, her work has remained a “mysterious daily life” tone. Her husband Nukui Tokuro is also a fiction novelist.
