When Grandma’s family moves away, she finds herself all alone. What does Grandma do when she’s by herself? This question inspired this heartwarming story of family, friendship, and the love only a pet can provide. Grandma’s inner life is shared with readers and will spark discussion about the importance of friendship at any age. It is a spirited call to action for a family to prevent older members from feeling lonely. It also shows the role that a pet can play as a friend and companion.
