so click the link peeps, the idea, a series of 20 books built on 10 million keystrokes, trying to sell the first book currently, if it takes off like I hope then yay me, I can advance other interests. I am planning on taking a lot of the proceeds I get from my sales to put into helping others out and charities, just currently I’m stuck on a farm which was where I wrote the series of books and can’t seem to get away from here since I am required to work here to make a living but I know I could do so much more, I just have to get my own place established before I can do anything else anyhow.
I do feel it’s a great story though, I get a lot of positive input which was the reason I even began getting the book published but regardless all input aside and my own thoughts towards it, I believe it captures life in the basic element of thought telling a story through a series of posts in the duration of 6 and a half years and a week or so beyond that. There is a publishing thing happening soon though in the next week or so, I just wanted to speed up the process and hopefully by posting the link to the book it might bug enough people to invest into something I worked hard on in my spare time.

i wanted to add to this actually in this moment of 7-23-12 of 4:46 PM that for the person that guides me and gets my stuff off the ground i offer half of what it makes and will sign to that easily. imagine for a second that i have 9.4 million keystrokes of text in the form of posts and saw them as being books, imagine that being 20 times what one book makes so even if one book pulls about 1/4 to 1/2 minimum wage that's still about 5 times to 10 times minimum wage forever. so technically that's about a $20 to $40 split to the person that helps me get all 20 books off the ground minus the first since i have someone that has that in the process and up to being queue'd and in a line to print with a self publishing thing this very moment. still, who would want that huh? it's not about the books which i keep saying, i have ideas i want to create and make possible in this world, the books are just collateral to create the other projects i have in mind which make millions on their own. course would also split the profits on those two and it's all business in the end right? people like money, so someone come along and help me get on my feet and take half of what all of it makes, just get some publisher person to look at hte book i uploaded in my profile here, the elements unlimited book, go with it, there has to be an audience that would adapt to it simply because i remember it making tens of thousands of voiew just when i was posting it on the web in some blog site back when it started.

Right now this is book 19 of my story, and I guess what I’m asking for is some help. This place is about publishers and a huge array of information, so I figured since I got 20 views on the last thing I posted in here I could add another and probably end up flooding this website till it kicks me off or draws enough of a crowd lol. What I’m really asking for, I updated some more information about the book I’m trying to publish. The entire thing is ten million keystrokes for the entire story told over 6 years, and basically I uploaded the pdf of the manuscript, maybe some of you if bored enough could go check it out, give me an honest opinion. If you think there’s some merit or standing in the stuff I wrote about then by all means guide me. The entire thing when complete with the 2 books remaining to finish out is about two thousand pages at 5.5 x 8.5 sized pages at .25 inch margins. I put a lot of time into it though, calculated the overall time involved was about a thousand hours sitting and writing all these posts as well as editing and organizing them.
I took the time to print out the first 18 books, have the final product pretty much in mind and just a few minor details to finish. Currently this being book 19 the base theme in the posts I am writing currently as well as this which all get logged down in the document and such is basically that it’s about me struggling as a person to try and get this stuff to become more. All I am asking is if someone could check out the pdf file I uploaded of the manuscript of the book, just give some honest insight about it. can you see it becoming a book, would people take interest in it? I have had so much positive input from the hundreds of people that looked over it and every persons reaction being different but still in a positive way that I can’t help but think soon it will take off.
Along the path of self publishing the thing is already sent out, a company printing it up as we speak as of last Saturday when the order was made, I have the ISBN number, copyright thing in works, whatever, and I know it’s on it’s way, but maybe there’s a different path I could be taking, maybe something like a real publishing company taking interest in it and it taking off faster that way. If I had to give an honest description, it’s like a total skitzo meets the hopeless romantic meets the creative inventor meets the heart of a gamer, it has everything. The basis from what I gather about how it developed is simply it’s a story that is told in the idea of what the human mind can compose in ten million keystrokes of text and this just by the statement expressed should be enough. It’s not some boring group of blogs though, it’s so much more, but still right now I’m still stuck trying to get it off the ground, or maybe it’s just time since it can’t be done instantaneously anyhow lol, as does all processes take time in this life.
This point right here, this line I’m typing as is calculated marks 9,311,735 keystrokes at this point in the entirety of the story, so it is coming to a close, and I have a lot of time and intelligence invested in this project, I’m just overall hoping that it really goes somewhere or otherwise the last 6 years of my life was just a venting fest in websites scattered all over the internet lol. So again, if the people that come across this post are bored and have some time, maybe check out the manuscript file I uploaded, give me some honest input, if it’s worth pursuing or if I should just quit right now and not waste another cent on it. but just to lay out one thought though, there was one interesting opinion I got from someone that skimmed through it. they thought it was like reading “catcher in the rye” and figure maybe that really is saying a lot, who knows. Still, again, thank you for your time people of pubmatch, maybe trying to bug you enough in here might end me up in better spirits and a better place in life.

For over 6 years I sat in my room writing posts to the world about life and myself and other things on the mind, interesting stuff. So I have thousands of pages of these posts saved and I did the copyright process, decided I want to take it to the next level, get it published, make a little extra coin, that sort of thing. Most people will look at posts and say “they’re just posts, nobody would read that in a book” except with my stuff reading it over a couple at a time somewhat displays a story, has a main character, sometimes a plot, themes to go with each segment and this stuff is incredible and people keep telling me it’s going to be huge, but my problem is that even though I may like to type a lot I am not skilled in the area of business or social communication. The thing is from what I calculated to be over 9 million keystrokes so far, I aim to have 2 more sections that I will work on and afterwords bring the story to a close.
The story of this thing is basically about a guy living in isolation on a farm, through my experiences in the story I have about 6 solid relationships and probably over a thousand different events take place. It’s not just about the story though or plot. When life gets boring other things pop up like dream logs and ideas I discuss with myself on improvements and upgrades in life and society. I tell the story so well in these posts that I get nothing but positive feedback and that is pretty much the only reason I have even gone this far to make something possible. I just really need to have a sit down with someone that knows how to get the wheels going on this project and make something happen. I am thinking about self publishing also, just I don’t know if that is the way to go but I have some friends helping me on this otherwise.
I keep asking for help though, all people can say is “go online and look it up” and nobody really cares to step up and do anything, so it’s like I’m living in a world where people just don’t care about anybody else but themselves. For example what my book is about, this post I’m writing, it’s part of the book, go figure. I’m literally typing it in the document explaining this to you as I have to so many other websites and how this works, even though nobody would really see the point, in the beginning of the story the main character was this lonely pathetic guy that couldn’t get a date down on himself and life and after all this time he gets the realization of publishing this thing and trying to go for that and is in the pubmatches site currently writing this point. That’s why it’s classic and you have to really ask yourself though this main question in what I am doing. How many thoughts can one person express in over 9 million keystrokes of text?
It’s like the 16th segment of my book, I was done with an ex that was still living here, that ex left, the current person that became my ex in my life by interacting with her creates such drama and problems in my life that I liked to write it all down in these things which I guess this began as a journal or something. But here the main character sits and pleads with the pubmatch site to help out, lend a hand. I was looking for someone to talk to that I could just simply give the person the start of my story, let them eyeball it, just take an honest look and if that person sees something in it and can help me out I don’t mind throwing them a portion of what I make from it because even if I have the finished product on my end without the help of others all it does it sit and collect dust. Anyhow, I need a cup of coffee, I am hoping to get some input.
The person helping me so far after I have stated the copyright process is in the works, the person got me the ISBN number or whatever that is but I noticed that the title wasn’t quite correct, and well… if I told you I have everything typed up over the last 6 and a half years and all you had to do was scan it into a computer and just shuffle the pages around into book layout or geeze, just it’s all done and typed up, 18 segments of my story, I am to make into 18 books. People love it, I wanna publish it, that’s all I’m saying here, I figure I didn’t give this place my credit card number so nobody can talk to me anyhow. Otherwise, I have a finished product, and I’m waiting for help on it.
Also, say there’s 18 books in the set for my story of posts, I also have a world record I want to get out there in that world record book, a couple hundred quality designs that could possibly be put into art museums, hundreds of ideas of invention and improvement in societies standards in this era of life, a bunch of interesting crafts I made with wood and metal that would sell, and probably a hundred other things. See, with me, I spent a lot of time in isolation, probably a decade and a half off and on to myself in my room, so now I’m 30 and what I have is a bunch of things put together through advanced mathematical intelligence and creative intuition, so I have all this stuff boxed up that I created and thought up and it’s just collecting dust, but I wanted to try and at least get my first book out there, with the money it makes I can advance other things, and with that money a lot more. Theoretically I could see over ten million $$$ in a decade and retire by age 40, but I still set the standards to see this book be the first thing since I put my heart and self and thoughts into it, and it really is worth a lot, and the way it’s organized is incredible. You really have to take a look yourselves at what I mean, you would be impressed.

My name is Bill and I have a manuscript that I wrote up about my Adventure while in Rota Spain as a U.S. Marine trying to pass through the country to my final destanation.

This is a true story that took place in Spain between 1979 - 1982 while I was in the Unites States Marine Corps.
The story covers why, and how I had arrived in Spain, the two sailors I met that lead to my arrest. What happened through the arrest and trial then appeal of the courts decisions.
A story of the hardships and heartaches along the way that I had to endure while I went through the Spanish court system, time in Rota jail , The two separate times I was in the Navel Brig on base ,and Cadiz prison, To be sentenced five years for a Crime I was innocent of. This is a story that I feel needs to be told.
It’s a story of both courage and fear as I faught my way through their Courts and prison.

I have written over a 60,000 word memoir about what happened, But I'm not a writer just a person with a story to tell so the book needs editing and polishing

I have searched and researched many children's publishers, and have not been able to find any sort of specific guidelines when it comes to submitting stories without words.

Is there a general way this is done? Perhaps a cover letter stating the aim of the story and a rough layout of 3 or 4 pages?

Any advice would be welcome.

I have been writing since 1993. Most things I wrote were small poems which was mostly scribbled on anything I could get my hands on at the moment. As time went by I noticed the writing began to change. Periodically it continues to do so. The change either forms a better article or it adds new forms of writing such as short stories, which I began in September of this year. I write things, they go into a binder. This has gone on for years up until last month. I felt it was time to send off my first book, so I did.

After doing quite a bit of research on how to get published I thought I had it figured out but now I am not so sure. In October I sent my first transcript off on a Tuesday. On Wednesday of the next week the contract arrived. Only I could not meet the Author Investment required. Reading their brochure, that acame with the contract, I understand everyone is required to pay this investment so they must handle everything the same. They also state that they are not a vanity or a self-publishing company so here I got a little confused.

They do state that they will provide resources to produce, market, and distribute the Work. (Yet it is in the authors best interest if they set up their own promotional sales in order to make 40% on all sales made.) They then give a dollar amount for such investments in resources. Below that is another figure of what the author is required to send in before any further actions can be taken. After the author sells 5,000 books this investment will be returned. I was under the impression that we become a self-publisher when an author has an investment in the process. What to do?

This company was very prompt in touching basis with me and the aquisitions editors that I dealt with were very pleasant. I was very pleased with their promptness and courtesy. I had no professional written letter for them, a hard copy nor a PDF file yet they accepted my letter and format just as it was. They accepted me, as I am. They were willing to give me a chance. That meant a lot to me as well as being told that the first aquisitions editor was impressed with my work. That told me he was more concerned over the quality of the book than how I wrote a letter or what format I used. I was almost there! :)

Any thoughts or explanations would be so helpful.

Recently I have been looking at different methods of publishing for free or just a small fee of buying your own book. I have got it down to the best sites and services for this.

Right so what we are going to need:
A Windows, Linux or Mac computer with an internet connection (preferably high speed - adsl or cable) and the latest version of openoffice available for free download at openoffice.org .
Createspace.com account - this is a publishing site by Amazon.com - more on this later.
Quite a bit of time.
And finally although not required a 8gb or higher usb stick, SD card or external SSD or HDD.

If you want to you could go and look at Createspace.com now or wait till later.
So your going to want to after go to createspace.com :

And sign up for an account. It is free so don't worry. Once you have your account you'll want to actually start writing your story, (wont you?). So for this open the openoffice writer application. This is what you'll be writing your story in for the next few days, weeks, months even years that's why I recommend backing it up to some sort of external flash device.

Once you have finished writing your story, proof read it and checked everything is the way you want it go to file>export as pdf. Under the general tab in range select All, in images select Lossless Compression, under general select PDF/A-1a and deselect any others. Now go to the initial view tab, leave everything as it is, pop over to the User interface tab now and deselect display document title. Leave links and security and click export!

Your almost done, upload it to Createspace.com, it's very easy to do, you can try fiddling with createspace to get it perfect. Please comment and if you want I can make a tutorial for an similar service, Lulu.com and a easier service, Bookemon!

Do not forget that the consequences of global warming will exceed
the adaptability of humans, animals, and plants, so we talk about the mass extinction.

3.2- Ending the Holocene
Present day- the Holocene extinction event

70% of biologists view the present era as part of a mass extinction event, possibly one of the fastest ever, according to a 1998 survey by the American Museum of Natural History (International biologist conference in New York 1998).

3.3 - Scenarios:

. The climate situation is worse in the next steps.
. The description of all the scenarios which can happen during and before the big event. It will be complicated to predict.
. The sea level rise can occur any time by a rapid warming and be caused by the methane release which was actually happening in Siberia and in North Pole.
. The history of geology of the planet demonstrated that the methane release had caused at least once the rapid warming .

3.4 - The livestock, the greenhouse gases, the human activities and the final consequences:

The new calculations made in 2009 by two experts on environmental issues of the World Bank show that the responsibility of livestock actually which represent 51% of global emissions of greenhouse gases (direct and indirect emissions of greenhouse gases ).

3.5 - The comparative anatomy teaches us that human body like frugivorous not carnivorous. The entire human body is intended exclusively vegetable diet. Humans are not naturally carnivorous, but are much closer to herbivores. Our digestive system is not designed to digest meat (dentition structure, the pH of stomach about 4 and 5 while meat digesting).

3.6- Only a small portion of population in the developed countries, the people whom
we call "vegetarians" eat correctly while majority of population eat incorrectly (not vegetarian).
The consequence of incorrect human activities resulted that humans are facing the threat of gradual life disappearing on Earth.
The amount of efforts spent by ecologist and vegetarian will be proportional to the number of survivors after the event.

3.7 - Description of the publication:

The author is chemist (first publication: From the Big Bang to mankind-smallest particle of matter, second publication: Handbook of technical trading, third publication: The last days before the mass extinction - Appeal of all the humans to understand their acts in the past on the environment they lived and the final consequences they will suffer in 3 years or 40 years).
"The last days before the sea level rise" is a pure scientific work analyzing and describing the mechanism of climate in normal and abnormal conditions, the causes and consequences of all activities of the human beings.

The final consequences are therefore pessimistic and disastrous.
Those consequences might probably be: excessive floods, poverty, tropical disease everywhere/pandemics, high concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and in the ocean, environmental variation, long-term environmental trends, natural catastrophes, habitat disturbance, habitat destruction, and ice melting of the Poles.
Right now, life faces the sixth great extinction event in Earth history. The cause is just as unsettling and unprecedented: eating, manufacturing, traveling, warring, consuming, and breeding by six billion human beings. For the first time in the history of life on Earth, one species—Homo sapiens is waging a war against Nature and is killing countless others.

3.8- The pronunciation of the top climatologists for this important event:

Hereafter, these climatologists are always with us at the last moments with their precious words:

* Lovelock, British climatologist, has discussed about the climate change and final consequences for human lives, he finally said: It's too late, it’s inevitable.
* Hansen, climatologist of N.A.S.A. quoted “ The geological history
shows that the ice melting is not linear and gradual, but suddenly switches from one state to another.
There are 3 to 5 million years, when global temperatures rose by 2 - 3°C to the temperature today, the sea levels have not increased by 59 cm but 25 meters. The ice has reacted almost immediately to temperature changes.
* Jay Zwally is the climate scientist at N.A.S.A., he has already demonstrated last year that the water surface melting could flow under the glacier forming vertical tunnels in the ice. The water acts as a lubricant to melt and could accelerate the melting of ice. This phenomenon has been observed on glaciers of Greenland .
* Isabella Velicogna, scientist at N.A.S.A. : her work shows that the ice sheet is not only losing mass, but it is losing mass at an accelerating rate. "The important message is that it is not a linear trend. A linear trend means you have the same mass loss every year. The fact that it’s above linear, this is the important idea, that ice loss is increasing with time "
* Frank Fenner , scientist of the Australian Academy of Science and
the Royal Society, said " The human species is extinct. No matter what we do now, it's too late. The Homo sapiens will disappear, perhaps a century and it's an irreversible situation"

3.9 - Climate cycles of Earth and conditions for human life:

The climate changes of Earth is experiencing more or less cyclical warming alternating with cooling that differ in duration (a few thousand to several million years) and their amplitude.
Since 800,000 years the Earth's climate has experienced several of these cycles. Several cycles of 100,000 years were repeated during this period.
The radiative forcing is roughly defined as the difference between radiant energy received and the radiative energy re-emitted by a given climate system. A positive radiative forcing tends to warm the system, whereas a negative radiative forcing is in the direction of cooling. When the balance is zero, the average temperature of the planet is stable.

∆F > 0 tends to warm
∆F < 0 tends to cool

Remember that the raising atmospheric CO2 level at a rate of 2 ppm/year, a pace unprecedented in the geological record.
James Hansen said " The scientific data approved that in order not to endanger the climate, the level of CO2 in the atmosphere must remain under 350 ppm (parts per million). We have already reached a level of 385 ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere. If we keep the level of 450 ppm long enough, it will probably cause the melting of all ice - which would trigger a rise in sea level of 75 meters."

The current concentration of CO2 is, by volume, approximately 387 ppm (parts per million). This level should continue to increase because of the continued use of fossil fuels, the deforestation, the livestock and the continued consumption of animal meat.

You see the above representation that the arrow direction is irreversible.

3.10- We live at the condition of climate with ∆F > 0 , unstable temperature.

4- Geo-engineering:

To reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, scientists have invented amazing technologies: inject the seawater into the clouds, introduce the pollution into the stratosphere, sending huge mirrors in space, fertilize oceans, etc. For most scientists, the Geo-engineering is a very risky bet.

5- Ideas about the date:

5.1- The sea level rise:
In 2004, the scientists estimated that the volume of ice rejected by the glaciers of Greenland was about 200 km3 equal to liquid water of 180 km3. The Earth surface is 365.10 exp 6 km² . This amount water causes a rise in sea level equal to 180 / 365.10 exp 6 km² = 5.10 -7 km or 0.8 mm.
The Greenland volume is approximately 3,000,000 km3 (3 × 10 exp 6 km3 ). The Antarctica volume is 30,000,000 km 3 ( 30 × 10 exp 6 km3 )
The averaged annual glacier volume loss is estimated about less than 100 km3/ yr , this is the most recent estimation ( N.A.S.A.). It is very small compared to the total ice of Antarctica.
5.2 - Global warming: is an increase in the average temperature of Earth's surface. Since the late 1800's, the global average temperature has increased about 0.4 to 0.8 degrees C. Many experts estimate that the average temperature will rise an additional 1.4 to 5.8 degrees C by 2100. That rate of increase would be much larger than most past rates of increase. The result found by these researchers is that the warming in recent decades has brought global temperature to a level within about one degree Celsius (1° C) of the maximum temperature of the past million years.

5.3 - Global temperature limit: the I. P. C. C - Intergovernmental Panel on the Climate change, estimates that global warming of more than 2-3 °C may be dangerous. The European Union adopted 2 °C above pre-industrial global temperature as a goal ( 450 ppm CO2 maximum target). The climate change suggest that CO2 will need to be reduced from its current 385 ppm to 350 ppm.

5.4 - The relationship between sea level and global temperature

The two contributors to sea level rise are thermal expansion of water and melting ice.

The relationship between sea level and global temperature during the 20th century will be a proportionality constant of 3.4 millimeters/year per °C. When applied to future warming scenarios of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, this relationship results in a projected sea-level rise in 2100 of 0.5 to 1.4 meters above the 1990 level.

The temperature record over the past 120 years doesn't include highly non-linear events such as the collapse of an ice sheet. The study examines calving glaciers in Greenland, determining each glacier's potential to discharge ice based on factors such as topography, cross-sectional area and whether the bedrock is based below sea level. The kinematic method estimates sea level rise between 80 cm to 2 metres by 2100.

The methane release - The scenarios before the sea level rise

1 - The scientific book is illustrating with several images, schemas and diagrams (about 100 joyful illustrations) in order to facilitate the comprehension for any audience worldwide.
We think that you might already hear or know about the subject.
The humans already know about these actualities related to the climate change, the global warming and its final consequences.
We understand your acknowledgement of the humanity matters.
The purpose of this publication is to make the human being aware of the causes, the consequences, the upcoming scenarios for humans in next days, especially the proposed solution for each individual on the Planet, the way to delay the rapid catastrophically consequences of climate change and avoiding the premature ending of Holocene.
It’s based on the causes of climate change in 1760 since industrial revolution. According to the international scientific studies with high degree of confidence, the climate scientists can determine that the human activities are largely causing global warming in a record time since millions of years, an unprecedented situation.

2- Method presented:

The scientific book is presenting as theoretical basics, atmospherical studies and climate in normal and abnormal conditions, essential parameters of climate, diagram representation by professionals of the top climatology centers such as N.A.S.A., the Centre National de Recherche Scientifique C.N.R.S. of France, the conclusions on the climate change by the top climatologists, the Intergovernmental Panel on the Climate change, the Academies of Sciences, etc.

3- Some basic points to remember:

3.1 - Climate change

The climate is not waiting for no one.
Today, the climate condition is not getting better.
It will be happening with the speed that the humans can not imagine.
If any habit changes, the consequence is very heavy for the human lives.
Do not forget that the consequences of global warming will exceed
the adaptability of humans, animals, and plants, so we talk about the mass extinction.

3.2- Ending the Holocene
Present day- the Holocene extinction event

70% of biologists view the present era as part of a mass extinction event, possibly one of the fastest ever, according to a 1998 survey by the American Museum of Natural History (International biologist conference in New York 1998).

3.3 - Scenarios:

. The climate situation is worse in the next steps.
. The description of all the scenarios which can happen during and before the big event. It will be complicated to predict.
. The sea level rise can occur any time by a rapid warming and be caused by the methane release which was actually happening in Siberia and in North Pole.
. The history of geology of the planet demonstrated that the methane release had caused at least once the rapid warming .

3.4 - The livestock, the greenhouse gases, the human activities and the final consequences:

The new calculations made in 2009 by two experts on environmental issues of the World Bank show that the responsibility of livestock actually which represent 51% of global emissions of greenhouse gases (direct and indirect emissions of greenhouse gases ).

3.5 - The comparative anatomy teaches us that human body like frugivorous not carnivorous. The entire human body is intended exclusively vegetable diet. Humans are not naturally carnivorous, but are much closer to herbivores. Our digestive system is not designed to digest meat (dentition structure, the pH of stomach about 4 and 5 while meat digesting).

3.6- Only a small portion of population in the developed countries, the people whom
we call "vegetarians" eat correctly while majority of population eat incorrectly (not vegetarian).
The consequence of incorrect human activities resulted that humans are facing the threat of gradual life disappearing on Earth.
The amount of efforts spent by ecologist and vegetarian will be proportional to the number of survivors after the event.

3.7 - Description of the publication:

The author is chemist (first publication: From the Big Bang to mankind-smallest particle of matter, second publication: Handbook of technical trading, third publication: The last days before the mass extinction - Appeal of all the humans to understand their acts in the past on the environment they lived and the final consequences they will suffer in 3 years or 40 years).
"The last days before the sea level rise" is a pure scientific work analyzing and describing the mechanism of climate in normal and abnormal conditions, the causes and consequences of all activities of the human beings.

The final consequences are therefore pessimistic and disastrous.
Those consequences might probably be: excessive floods, poverty, tropical disease everywhere/pandemics, high concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere and in the ocean, environmental variation, long-term environmental trends, natural catastrophes, habitat disturbance, habitat destruction, and ice melting of the Poles.
Right now, life faces the sixth great extinction event in Earth history. The cause is just as unsettling and unprecedented: eating, manufacturing, traveling, warring, consuming, and breeding by six billion human beings. For the first time in the history of life on Earth, one species—Homo sapiens is waging a war against Nature and is killing countless others.

3.8- The pronunciation of the top climatologists for this important event:

Hereafter, these climatologists are always with us at the last moments with their precious words:

* Lovelock, British climatologist, has discussed about the climate change and final consequences for human lives, he finally said: It's too late, it’s inevitable.
* Hansen, climatologist of N.A.S.A. quoted “ The geological history
shows that the ice melting is not linear and gradual, but suddenly switches from one state to another.
There are 3 to 5 million years, when global temperatures rose by 2 - 3°C to the temperature today, the sea levels have not increased by 59 cm but 25 meters. The ice has reacted almost immediately to temperature changes.
* Jay Zwally is the climate scientist at N.A.S.A., he has already demonstrated last year that the water surface melting could flow under the glacier forming vertical tunnels in the ice. The water acts as a lubricant to melt and could accelerate the melting of ice. This phenomenon has been observed on glaciers of Greenland .
* Isabella Velicogna, scientist at N.A.S.A. : her work shows that the ice sheet is not only losing mass, but it is losing mass at an accelerating rate. "The important message is that it is not a linear trend. A linear trend means you have the same mass loss every year. The fact that it’s above linear, this is the important idea, that ice loss is increasing with time "
* Frank Fenner , scientist of the Australian Academy of Science and
the Royal Society, said " The human species is extinct. No matter what we do now, it's too late. The Homo sapiens will disappear, perhaps a century and it's an irreversible situation"

3.9 - Climate cycles of Earth and conditions for human life:

The climate changes of Earth is experiencing more or less cyclical warming alternating with cooling that differ in duration (a few thousand to several million years) and their amplitude.
Since 800,000 years the Earth's climate has experienced several of these cycles. Several cycles of 100,000 years were repeated during this period.
The radiative forcing is roughly defined as the difference between radiant energy received and the radiative energy re-emitted by a given climate system. A positive radiative forcing tends to warm the system, whereas a negative radiative forcing is in the direction of cooling. When the balance is zero, the average temperature of the planet is stable.

∆F = F absorbed energy - F re-emitted energy
∆F = 0 Earth temperature is stable
∆F > 0 tends to warm
∆F < 0 tends to cool

Remember that the raising atmospheric CO2 level at a rate of 2 ppm/year, a pace unprecedented in the geological record.
James Hansen said " The scientific data approved that in order not to endanger the climate, the level of CO2 in the atmosphere must remain under 350 ppm (parts per million). We have already reached a level of 385 ppm of CO2 in the atmosphere. If we keep the level of 450 ppm long enough, it will probably cause the melting of all ice - which would trigger a rise in sea level of 75 meters."

The current concentration of CO2 is, by volume, approximately 387 ppm (parts per million). This level should continue to increase because of the continued use of fossil fuels, the deforestation, the livestock and the continued consumption of animal meat.

3.10- We live at the condition of climate with ∆F > 0 , unstable temperature.

4- Geo-engineering:

To reduce emissions of greenhouse gases, scientists have invented amazing technologies: inject the seawater into the clouds, introduce the pollution into the stratosphere, sending huge mirrors in space, fertilize oceans, etc. For most scientists, the Geo-engineering is a very risky bet.

5- Ideas about the date:

5.1- The sea level rise:
In 2004, the scientists estimated that the volume of ice rejected by the glaciers of Greenland was about 200 km3 equal to liquid water of 180 km3. The Earth surface is 365.10 exp 6 km² . This amount water causes a rise in sea level equal to 180 / 365.10 exp 6 km² = 5.10 -7 km or 0.8 mm.
The Greenland volume is approximately 3,000,000 km3 (3 × 10 exp 6 km3 ). The Antarctica volume is 30,000,000 km 3 ( 30 × 10 exp 6 km3 )
The averaged annual glacier volume loss is estimated about less than 100 km3/ yr , this is the most recent estimation ( N.A.S.A.). It is very small compared to the total ice of Antarctica.
5.2 - Global warming: is an increase in the average temperature of Earth's surface. Since the late 1800's, the global average temperature has increased about 0.4 to 0.8 degrees C. Many experts estimate that the average temperature will rise an additional 1.4 to 5.8 degrees C by 2100. That rate of increase would be much larger than most past rates of increase. The result found by these researchers is that the warming in recent decades has brought global temperature to a level within about one degree Celsius (1° C) of the maximum temperature of the past million years.

5.3 - Global temperature limit: the I. P. C. C - Intergovernmental Panel on the Climate change, estimates that global warming of more than 2-3 °C may be dangerous. The European Union adopted 2 °C above pre-industrial global temperature as a goal ( 450 ppm CO2 maximum target). The climate change suggest that CO2 will need to be reduced from its current 385 ppm to 350 ppm.

5.4 - The relationship between sea level and global temperature

The two contributors to sea level rise are thermal expansion of water and melting ice.

The relationship between sea level and global temperature during the 20th century will be a proportionality constant of 3.4 millimeters/year per °C. When applied to future warming scenarios of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, this relationship results in a projected sea-level rise in 2100 of 0.5 to 1.4 meters above the 1990 level.

The temperature record over the past 120 years doesn't include highly non-linear events such as the collapse of an ice sheet. The study examines calving glaciers in Greenland, determining each glacier's potential to discharge ice based on factors such as topography, cross-sectional area and whether the bedrock is based below sea level. The kinematic method estimates sea level rise between 80 cm to 2 metres by 2100.

There is a new kind of utility for marketing the translation rights of your titles abroad, which is called translator-agent system. Basically, you hire a translator for your book, native in the target language and resident of that country. After he completes the translation, he markets the translation rights in his country, by contacting local publishers under your guidance. If he finds a buyer for the rights, he will be paid the translation work plus further agent commissions. In case of failure, you may offer some guarantees, like a portion of the translation fee or some royalties on a further foreign edition published under your own imprint. As the translation fee is paid by the foreign publisher, you can anticipate low costs – possibly no cost – for the campaigns. There are also other advantages, like being able to offer the completed translation to the foreign publishers, which increases their interest on publishing it. You can also run simultaneous campaigns in several countries.
