I'm a 57 yr old mother of three sons. I've recently retired from nursing after many years enjoying a very interesting and varied medical career. I live with my gorgeous husband in a beautiful part of the U.K. but a few years ago we were told our stunning valley was the site for a new town! Thus, at some point, we will have to leave here, but the initial shock inspired me to write a series of children's books.
Living in a small wood in the Sherford Valley, are tiny wild bears called Dinkers. They too must leave or be extinguished. Their journey to find new roots takes them on many adventures, until, in book four, they find a new forest to continue their secret existance.
The Dinker bears have grown from the first seed 3 years ago. Many have been made and either given as gifts or sold at bear fairs and been included in the books. I've self published the books which have been well accepted by children, and adults, around the world.
I'd like to find an agent or publisher who'd be willing to 'take the risk' and help make the Dinker bears take their place in the world.
