Established in 1957, Wesleyan University Press has an editorial program that focuses on poetry, music/culture, dance and performance, early classics of science fiction, film-TV, American studies, and Connecticut history and culture.
Our publications in nonfiction concentrate in the areas of dance, music/culture, film/TV & media studies, science fiction studies, and Connecticut history and culture. We will accept proposals for books in these areas only.
Your proposal should include a cover letter, a prospectus, and a C.V. If available, please also send us:
* a table of contents;
* a sample chapter or two;
* the anticipated length of the manuscript;
* the anticipated date of completion (if still a work-in-progress).
We request that you do not submit your complete manuscript unless an editor has invited you to do so. The equivalent of a cover letter may be submitted by e-mail/attachment, but please do not submit full proposals electronically, unless asked to do so.
