I write children's stories and poetry for grown ups. Have published (i.e. had printed and marketed them myself as Granary Press through various quirky outlets) Little but Lucky (about a Christmas tree) and about the publish Frazzle the Frizzle (about a bantam). My children's stories do seem to have a positive moral in the ending (in the loosest sense of moral if there can be such a thing !) which gives them grown up appeal, too. Have published three collections of poetry - one just my work, the other two with my poetry workshop, The Free Range Poets of Barn Galleries. Or workshop has been invited twice to read at the Henley Literary Festival and we also arrange a reading once a year as part of Artspace, the art exhibition we host at Barn Galleries, Henley.
BUT- no Artspace in 2011 so now no excuse not to write more and more.
Made to DVDs : one on Artspace India, and one social history: A Farmer's Boy. Plans to make another on Indian textiles - but that means lots of trips to India so it will take a while !
I will finish that screenplay, more stories and more poetry and get serious about 'my other life'. «View Less
Children's publishers and anyone who can tell me how to be a 'proper' (albeit very tiny) publisher.
