I grew up in the town of Chelsea, in Southern Michigan. After a short time in Traverse City in my junior high years, my family moved to Central Indiana. Two years in Indiana then sent my family back to Traverse City, where I still reside. Since then, I have gotten married and now have a son.

My college years were spent at Northwestern Michigan College, where I studied Architecture, Photography, and Art & Design. My photography background started with 35mm black and white film. It consisted of darkroom film processing, and printing with an enlarger followed by development in an automated machine. I then transitioned into using a 4x5 monorail view camera. I tray processed the large format sheet film, and developed the prints in trays, as well. I committed the cardinal sin of the darkroom and made the switch to digital. My first step led me to a new camera and took courses in Photoshop. Since then, the purchase of two DSLR cameras and all the needed lenses, flashes, mounts, and accessories has fueled my passion for photography.
Though my personal interests in subject matter generally include Lightning, Lighthouses, and range of Landscapes, I have ventured into more professionally productive photography, as well. I began with senior portraits, events and retreats, and then some photographs of children and families. Now I have also begun to venture into wedding photography, as well as the growth of architectural and real estate shoots based on my architectural and drafting background.
I am open to new projects and ideas, and I love a challenge both in capturing an image and Photoshop production.
