ABOMINATION

By Hellberg, Amanda

This novel is a grim horror story written by a young Swedish woman, Amanda Hellberg, now living in Oxford, UK. The book is a wellwritten novel about clairvoyance, spiritists and parapsychology. The head character, Maja, meets during attacks of supernatural sights the young child Singa, a girl with clairvoyant gifts, who during the 1940’s travels around with her father as a ghost whisperer. The young girl has the misfortune of being kidnapped by a spiritist church, which uses her gifts in a gruesome manner.

Amanda Hellbergs debut novel “Abomination” is a modern ghost story filled with travelling sideshows, fairs, secret societies and parapsychological scams.

“Packed with colour and character. Unflinching in the face of gruesome scenes. A gifted story teller, no doubt. Impressive.” – Kristoffer Leandoer, one of Swedens most known authors.
