ONCE UPON A COMMUNE

First in a Trilogy

By Abilene Gray

After Woodstock, the romantic idea of going back to the land appealed to the wife of Daniel Janson, a powerful Boston attorney.Catherine convinces her husband that a summer home in Vermont would be a wonderful respite for their family and bring them all closer together from their over -scheduled lives in Boston. They pack up their two little girls and drive to the country for an experience neither of them are prepared to handle. After a particularly explosive argument, Daniel takes their daughters out of state and a custody battle ensues. As consoling friends arrive, the summer home evolves into a commune that will make Catherine's custody fight more difficult and change her life in ways she never imagined.
