SONG OF THE ADOEL

SONG OF THE ADOEL

By Kevin King

Raendel was born to be a servant, cursed simply for being one of the Adoel. He struggles with guilt over sins he didn't commit, and pressure from his elders to submit and accept his place. His only solace is his friendship with the young Prince Kenan, who he is sworn to serve.

When the Kenan's father the king is killed in a surprise attack, the Prince sets out on a quest for personal vengeance, to track down and destroy his father's killer. Raendel, driven by guilt and his friendship with Kenan, follows him secretly, vowing that he will not fail again in his duty to protect the royal family.

But their enemy is not who he seems to be. Torn between racial guilt, duty to the king, and friendship with Prince Kenan, Raendel struggles with who he is, and with how much he is called to sacrifice in the name of duty.
