It is the beginning of the End Times where many mediums are called upon by God to use their sixth sense to assist unfortunate souls who chose to end their lives prematurely. A group of these souls, or Deathlinks, is entrusted to Emily Walker, a woman who began her journey as a spiritual medium after experiencing horrible personal trauma, yet decided to still believe in the goodness of God. Emily assists the Deathlinks in finding a person who is flirting with the idea of ending their life, under similar circumstances. They must then convince them that the object of life’s journey is to grow through heartache and sorrow and refine their own purpose on earth for the love of their Creator. If the Deathlinks are successful, they become invincible warriors during the final battle against evil. The book is an exciting and suspenseful adventure in spiritualism, love, faith, but above all a celebration of the wonderful differences in human character development – both good and evil. It concludes with the main characters winning the battle against evil; where purity of purpose ultimately trumps evil once and for all.

Elaine M. Bakle has an M.A. from Indiana University in Sociological Practice. She returned to school to finish her Bachelors degree when she was fifty years old and discovered her love of literature, creative writing, and sociology. Her particular passion is to write about social issues by incorporating observations and research through fictional presentation. As an example of this genre, Deathlinks examines the social institution of religion and presents the alternative idea that there is more to faith than just conventional wisdom.
