EVERYTHINGS OKAY FROM ROUND TABLE COMICS

my jounrey surviving childhood cancer

By Alesia Shute

When Alesia Shute was diagnosed with cancer at the age of 7, her life was redirected as was that of her entire family. She would go on to survive six major surgeries that had never been tested on a child, several minor surgeries and countless hours of pain and months of hospitalization. Alesia had to grow up quickly and adjust to being sickly and different from others. Everything's Okay from Relevant Comics is an illustrated account of her survival that details not only the challenges of her recovery, but her desire to give back and make a difference in the lives of families suffering from any and all childhood illnesses.

Alesia penned Everything's Okay in 2008 and founded The Alesia Shute Foundation in 2009 to work with families in need and raise money for the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where her life was saved numerous times. Over the last 30 years, Alesia and her husband have donated close to $1M to pediatric Aids research and cancer research.
