The United States is currently consumes nearly 1 in 4 barrels of petroleum produced in the world. Since transportation makes up over 70% of our petroleum consumption, it only makes sense to dramatically improve fuel efficiency and use sustainable alternative fuels, using modern and existing technology that allowed us to travel 200 miles per gallon since the 1930s.
